A couple of years ago, my fridge just stopped working.
Nothing was cold. No ice. Total meltdown.

So, I did what most people would do—I called a repairman.
He charged $200 just to come and take a look. Pulled it out, poked around, cleaned some parts, said,
“Give it 24 hours. If it still doesn’t work, we’ll replace the part.”

The next day, still nothing.
He came back and said:
“Yeah… that part will cost $600, plus tax and labour. Honestly? You might be better off buying a new fridge.”

I was upset, but I was ready.
$3,000 for a new fridge? Fine. Let’s just fix this.

But then I thought—
Wait. Why don’t I call Lucas?

He owns several rental properties and knows everyone in town.
I figured maybe he had a second opinion worth hearing.

Lucas said, “Call this guy. He’s my appliance wizard.”
So I did.

And in a two-minute phone call, this man saved me thousands.
He told me:
“Oh, that’s a common Samsung issue. Unplug the fridge, empty everything, and leave it off for 24 hours. Then plug it back in. It should be fine.”

I was skeptical. But we tried it.
And… it worked. Like magic. Even the ice dispenser started working again, after years of silence.

Here’s the point:
Sometimes you don’t need a shiny new fridge.
You just need a better solution.
