Stress-Free Summer Plans for Single Parents π
Jul 09, 2025
This is my first summer with both kids in summer camps as a full-time solo parent.
No alternating weeks. No backup. Just me.
TBH, I was nervous about how I’d manage it all.
Especially on the weeks when my two kids are in different camps across town—because let’s be real, I can’t be in two places at once.
So yes, I’ve been channelling some serious superwoman energy π¦Έπ»βοΈ
Here’s what helped me feel more prepared (and less overwhelmed):
π₯ Plan early – I mapped out the kids' summer schedule in January. Yup, I’m that mom.
π₯ Coordinate with other parents – Camps are way more fun when your kids go with friends.
3οΈβ£ Ask for help – I reached out to other parents for support with pickups and drop-offs. Superwoman energy only goes so far—sometimes you need a village.
Most importantly? I refused to play SMALL.
My kids deserve to have all the experiences they could have growing up with a single mom.
PERIOD.
As you read this, we are wrapping up an epic trip in Orlando.
This summer, they’ll be horseback riding, dancing, exploring farms, building Minecraft creations, and enjoying the outdoors.
They are expanding because they have a mom who believes in playing BIG.
Got a summer survival tip of your own?
If you're also doing the summer juggle as a single parent, what helps you stay sane and supported? I'd love to hear.
